Abuse or Misuse of PSSL Abuse or misuse of PSSL will not be tolerated by Venable and may result in discipline, up to and including termination of employment. Examples of abuse or misuse of PSSL may include (i) use of unscheduled sick time on or adjacent to weekends, regularly scheduled days off, holidays, vacation, or paydays, (ii) taking scheduled sick time on days when requests for other types of leave have already been denied, (iii) misrepresentation of the need for, or the reason why employees are taking, PSSL; and/or (iv) failure to notify a supervisor in advance or submit the required documentation.
