Civil Air Patrol Leave - Florida

Employees in the Florida office who are Civil Air Patrol members, i.e., a senior member of the Florida wing of the Civil Air Patrol with at least an emergency services qualification, may take up to 15 days of unpaid Civil Air Patrol Leave annually. A Civil Air Patrol member returning to employment following Civil Air Patrol leave will not be required to use PTO leave for the period during which the member was on Civil Air Patrol leave.

No Civil Air Patrol member may be discharged, reprimanded or otherwise penalized because of his/her absence during Civil Air Patrol leave.

Upon completion of Civil Air Patrol leave, the Civil Air Patrol member must notify his/her supervisor of his/her intent to return to work.
