Holidays during the Short-Term Disability Benefit Period If a Venable observed holiday occurs during the short-term disability benefit period, it will be paid at the appropriate percentage level per the short-term disability plan. It will not extend the maximum benefit period. If your physician releases you to work on a day which is a Venable observed holiday, you will be paid for the holiday in accordance with your regular work schedule, provided you return to work on the day following the holiday. Jury duty during the Short-term Disability Benefit Period If you appear for jury duty or are required to appear in court as a witness during the short-term disability benefit period, you will not receive jury duty pay. You will be paid at the appropriate percentage level per the short-term disability plan. Bereavement leave during the Short-term Disability Benefit Period You will not receive bereavement leave pay during the short-term disability benefit period. You will be paid at the appropriate percentage level per the short-term disability plan.
