which an employee is not entitled to reinstatement to his/her position but during which an employee who is eligible may apply for long-term disability benefits at 180 days. An employee can remain on the inactive status period for up to 12 months after their last day worked. If at the end of 12 months an employee is unable to return to work because he or she cannot perform the job duties, either with or without reasonable accommodation, because of illness, injury or impairment, the employee shall be terminated from Venable.
