LONG-TERM DISABILITY Venable provides a long-term disability plan to furnish continued income protection in the event that you are disabled for more than 180 days. This plan, which includes benefits for total and residual disability, is described in more detail in the summary plan description. Venable prohibits employees from engaging in other work, as either an employee or an independent contractor, while receiving long-term disability benefits. Eligibility Long-term disability benefits are available to all full-time employees and part-time employees (who are scheduled to work at least 25 hours per week) on the first of the month following date of hire. This coverage is provided at Venable’s expense. Allowances/Accrual You are automatically enrolled in the plan upon employment or the date you otherwise become eligible for coverage under the plan.
