Short-term disability and Long term Disability

SHORT-TERM DISABILITY Venable provides short-term disability insurance for up to 26 weeks to help replace a portion of your salary if you become ill or injured and cannot work. Venable prohibits employees from engaging in other work, as either an employee or an independent contractor, while receiving short-term disability benefits. After six months of disability, benefits may be available under the long-term disability plan. FMLA will run concurrently, as applicable, within any leave taken under short-term disability policy.
