Family Bereavement Leave - Chicago

Employees in the Chicago office may use a maximum of 2 weeks (10 work days) of unpaid bereavement leave for the following reasons: - attend the funeral or alternative to a funeral of a covered family member or child; - make arrangements necessitated by the death of the covered family member or child; - grieve the death of the covered family member; or child. - be absent from work due to: o a miscarriage; o an unsuccessful round of intrauterine insemination or of an assisted reproductive technology procedure; o a failed adoption match or an adoption that is not finalized because it is contested by another party; o a failed surrogacy agreement; o a diagnosis that negatively impacts pregnancy or fertility; or
