Official Meetings Leave - Chicago

If you are an elected official of a unit of local government of school district, you may take unpaid time off from work to attend an official meeting of the public body to which you were elected. The time off will include the necessary traveling time to and from the meeting.

You must provide your supervisor advance notice of your intent to attend the meeting.
