Organ Donor/Bone Marrow Donor Leave – California

If you have exhausted all available sick leave, you may take a leave of absence with pay for up to 30 days in a one- year period for the purpose of organ donation and up to 5 days for bone marrow donation, for yourself or a family member. You may also take up to 30 business days of unpaid leave for the purpose of organ donation. The one- year period is calculated from the date your leave begins and consists of 12 consecutive months.
