Health Care Security Ordinance – San Francisco

Under the Health Care Security Ordinance of San Francisco, generally those employees who work 8 or more hours per week in San Francisco and who have been employed for more than 90 days, are entitled to a minimum amount of health care benefits. Venable has determined that if you carry its health insurance, this requirement has been met. If you waive health insurance offered by Venable, you may voluntarily choose to sign a waiver of your rights to this program. If you do not wish to waive the benefits of this program and choose to waive the health insurance options offered to you by Venable, you can expect the following: * Venable will provide payment to the San Francisco City Options plan within 30 days following the end of each quarter. Venable will email you a notification when the payment has been made. Payment does not automatically enroll you in a San Francisco City Option health care program.
